Disney World Part 4

So it's Saturday afternoon and I have a few choices, I could be cleaning, working out, or blogging. And you all know what I decided :)

So Monday, we went to Hollywood Studios (formally MGM). I remember this park having some fun rides but easily doable in a day. Of course, one of my favorite rides, Star Tours was closed at the time. :(

I was bummed :(
So of course the first thing we did was get our fastpass for Tower of Terror. Then we started visiting some of the less trafficked rides. The Great Movie Ride takes you through different scenes from famous movies with robots. It was ok, but definitely more fun for kids. Then we saw the film that was about the life of Walt Disney. While we were waiting for the film to start, we saw some relics and replicas of Walt Disney and had our first beaver sighting in this park.
After lunch, we went on Tower of Terror. I will admit that I have a love/hate relationship with this ride. I really enjoy the story and the detailed settings, but I'm not a huge fan of big drops. This ride however is different every time you ride it and I ended up enjoying it more than I thought I would. Speaking of detailed setting, check out this ceiling... just takes you into a whole other world.
We then rode Rockin Roller Coaster which was not there on my previous trips. I didn't know much about the ride except that it involved Aerosmith. After riding it, I can see what all the hype is about. It was AWESOME! You are pretty much completely in the dark with glow in the dark signs every now and then. LOVED IT!
The lines at the good lines were long and all the fastpasses were used up so we walked around for a bit.
Love Castle!

and of course I had to take this picture :)
We did stand in line for the Backlot Tour. Again, it was ok but hasn't changed much since the last time I saw it. The best part was the Villains display at the end. Fun with pictures :)

I was trying to look evil.

Enchanted!
While at DisneyWorld, I wanted pictures with some of the characters but I did not want to stand in the LONG lines of kids. So as we were walking around, we saw some of the army men from Toy Story and I saw my chance! Oh goodness, this is what happened...

Then he starts following me (Blake of course documents instead of coming to my rescue.)

Trying to nicely have him back off.

After he got his hug, he was happy to go on his way.
Since it was getting later and we had done most of the rides, we decided to go ahead and stand in line for Tower (it really only took 30 minutes) and then we were going to stand in line for Rockin Roller Coaster but it was temporary closed. That is never a good sign for a roller-coaster so we decided to go over to the Toy Story Midway Mania. We hadn't visited it earlier because I had read mixed reviews and the wait time was always about 70 minutes. I guess the wait time should have told me it was a good ride but we decided to wait in line in the hopes that by the time we got out, the Rockin Roller Coaster would be fixed. Good decision! It was so much fun. It was an arcade style game and unfortunately this time, Blake beat me. But we both won the same prize. Second beaver sighting!
When we went back to Rockin' Roller Coaster, it was fixed and we went into the single riders line so we could ride faster. There was an interesting story about some of the people we were in line with but I don't feel comfortable sharing that on the internet for their own privacy so I will tell you in person if you ask. One last random picture.
Yellow Ranger for the win!
